We are thrilled to announce that Darren Rea, our Youth Chair and SEND Lead at Gosford All Blacks RFC, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2025 UK Coaching Awards in the Inclusive Coaching category.
Darren’s dedication to creating inclusive rugby opportunities for children with SEND, both at the Club and throughout the county, is helping younger players flourish in a safe, supportive and fun environment. His innovative approach not only transforms the game on the field but also strengthens the wider community.
The UK Coaching Awards will highlight the incredible contributions coaches make to improve the health, happiness and wellbeing of people and their communities. Regarded as one of the most prestigious events within the coaching community, the Awards celebrate coaches at every level, from elite to grassroots. Established to recognise the invaluable role coaches play in building a happier and healthier society, the event pays tribute to those who inspire a nation with gold medal moments and those who dedicate themselves week in, week out to support participants in local sports clubs.
The awards ceremony will take place on 4 December at The Queen’s Hotel in Leeds, bringing together inspiring figures from across the sporting landscape to celebrate excellence in coaching.
Congratulations on your nomination Darren - we have our fingers crossed for you!
